Latrobe Alliance Church Missions
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is a denomination committed to
building Christ's Church worldwide. Our mission is to know Jesus Christ;
exalt Him as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King; and
complete His Great Commission to reach the world for Christ.
When one realizes that our U.S. constituency numbers 400,000,
and our overseas constituency numbers 3,000,000 in 87 countries,
it is apparent that the C&MA has been faithful to reach the
world for Christ. That's why Billy Graham called the C&MA,
"one of the best-kept secrets in Christendom."
The Latrobe Alliance Church participates in the global outreach
of the C&MA through:
Annual Missions Conference
Our local church holds a missions conference once a year, and places
an emphasis on learning about, praying for, and supporting the
850 C&MA missionaries serving in over 57 countries.
During the conference, several missionaries from these countries
visit and share with us their own experiences in their mission fields.
We encourage people from our own congregation to consider short-term
or career involvement as missionaries.
Missions Moments
In addition, we feature a monthly missions moment during Sunday
Morning Worship, special missions emphasis in our childrens' and
missions programs, and missions involvement and support through
our Alliance Women's Organization.
Great Commission Sunday
The special Great Commission Fund offering was received on June 12. The
focus this year is on the open doors to North Africa with all of the
changes taking place there. The opportunity to share the gospel has
never been greater. Help our international workers take advantage
of that opportunity.
Missions Trips
We periodically have the opportunity to go on short-term
missions trips as a church.
